Ben Rosales is an American composer, orchestrator, music editor, and recording engineer currently based in New York City. Having immersed himself in a variety of musical styles through composition and performance, he has crafted a distinctive sound defined by dense textures, powerful rhythms, and larger-than-life atmospheres.
At the core of his approach is the idea that music is texture — something experienced physically, that should create an undeniable and visceral feeling.
Ben has composed music and done sound design for numerous films across many genres. Films he has worked on have been featured and won awards in film festivals such as the Student World Impact Festival, Boston International Kids Film Festival, and Lift Off Festival. Beyond film, he also writes contemporary concert music for orchestra and smaller ensembles, including the New Jersey Symphony’s Academy Orchestra.
Ben's performance background spans concert, jazz, pop, musical theater, and latin piano, as well as percussion, saxophone, guitar, and much more. Additionally, he is trained and certified in Music Tech, having studied under producer, recording engineer, and multi-instrumentalist Rod Shepard.
